Limes originated in India or Malaysia, and then were grown on large scale in southern Iraq and Persia. The path of this variety proceeded to Sicily, Andalusia and the West Indies including the Florida Keys. <em>West Indian<\/em>, <em>Mexican<\/em> or <em>bartender Limes <\/em>garnered the <em>Key Lime <\/em>name in their association with the Florida Keys. A <strong><em>Saveur<\/em><\/strong> recipe for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saveur.com\/article\/Recipes\/Grilled-Spot-Prawns-with-Finger-Lime-and-Basil?fb_action_ids=10151451936395800&amp;fb_action_types=og.likes&amp;fb_source=other_multiline&amp;action_object_map=%7B%2210151451936395800%22%3A10150346540196501%7D&amp;action_type_map=%7B%2210151451936395800%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&amp;action_ref_map=%5B%5D\" target=\"_blank\">Grilled Prawns<\/a> (posted on Facebook by my friend Phyllis) called for Finger Limes but aromatic Key Limes were a delicious understudy. Basil accented Lemon and Lime Juices drizzled the Gulf Prawns (from Safeway), delightfully spilling over the Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes and Organic Broccoli (from Nunez Farm). Rich\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kunde.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kunde <\/a> Chardonnay from Sonoma Valley accompanied our entree and also dessert of Tory Farms incredible Peaches and Roasted Inzana Ranch Walnuts.
